• List of resources handed to students is on G:\Information and Heritage\Marketing\School tours\Melville High School Year 12 History
• the historic photographs pointed out were the Wars/ Military drawer (left hand cabinet) and the World War II section under the Garden Place photos in the HN victoria street section.
• There are heaps of oral histories and I did suggest to the students that they do a catalogue search to bring these up but the ones highlighted were:
  OH 55, OH 12 and OH 41 as well as the Youth Oral History one of which the transcripts are on the open shelves "That's when life really started to live" Ref 305.2309931151 HAM.
• There is a really good article in the Auckland-Waikato Historical Journal April 1980, vol 43 no.2 pg. 101-103.
• MS 0134 (archives of Douglas Tait) actually has an old rations book.
